Our licensed sleep labs offer a clean, private and safe testing environment with the latest sleep diagnostic equipment.
In order to schedule an appointment for a sleep study or consultation with the sleep physician, we must receive a referral from your physician or nurse practitioner.
Once we receive the referral form you will be contacted by our office to schedule an appointment for your sleep study. Our labs operate 7 days a week and we will make every attempt to schedule an appointment that is convenient for you. Our staff will complete an assessment form over the phone to ensure we have all the necessary information to schedule your appointment. You will also be sent an information package prior to your appointment by mail or email to further answer your questions prior to your appointment. Please read all information and contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Once your appointment is scheduled, a private sleep study room will be reserved for you on the date of your study and a sleep technologist will be assigned to your care. It is important that you attend your appointment at the scheduled time.
We understand that from time to time, unavoidable situations arise that may cause you to reschedule your appointment. Please ensure that you contact us a minimum of 48 hours prior to your appointment if you need to reschedule and to avoid any charges for missed appointments.
If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice or you do not show up for your appointment, a fee of $100 may be billed to you and you will be personally responsible for that fee.
You will receive an appointment to be seen by the sleep physician. It is important that you attend this appointment to review the results of your sleep
study and discuss a treatment plan with our sleep specialist. Please ensure that you contact us a minimum of 48 hours prior to your appointment if you need to reschedule to avoid any missed appointment fees. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice or if you do not show up for your appointment, a fee of $175 will be charged. This fee is not covered by OHIP and you will be personally responsible.
We understand that situations arise that may prevent you from keeping your scheduled appointment however other patients are also waiting to see the physicians. Please ensure you provide 48 hours' notice if you need to reschedule your appointment.
As a licensed sleep laboratory, most of our services are covered by OHIP provided that you have a valid Ontario Health Card number (HCN). Please remember to bring your health card to your appointments.
Effective July 1, 2010, The Ministry of Health and Long Term Care revised the funding available to patients for sleep studies:
If you do not have a valid Ontario Health Card and would like to have a sleep study you may pay privately for your sleep study (current OHIP rates apply). If you have a valid Ontario Health Care and you would like a further assessment beyond what is covered by OHIP, you also have the option to pay privately.
